June is the national month of recognition for the need for homes for many cats and kittens in our country.  The shelters are so full, and there are still so many that need help.  Our rescue group has already this spring handled 22 kittens, and have in foster care right now another total of 15 kittens and there are people who have asked for our help for another total of  21 kittens.  This is just SART.  Sad to say that there are so many cats that are still producing kittens – sometimes as many as 3 litters per year!

Consider taking in a kitty this June.  In these hard economic times, having a loving animal to welcome you at the end of the day would be well worth the investment spent!  For SART kitties, all adults have already been fixed, have updated shots, have been wormed, are litter trained and very social creatures.  All you have to do is welcome them into your home, feed them good cat food and water, and love them!  And we all know that loving an animal lowers stress, calms us, and makes us feel much more content.  So, please, for the sake of the well-being of so many needy animals, consider opening your home to a kitty.  You will be glad you did!
