Spring – It is here!

Charlie, a kitty recently adopted, enjoying a moment in his new forever home.

SART has been so busy through the winter!  We have 162 residents and are kept busy for hours each day caring for, cleaning, loving and tending to the needs of our residents.  I so appreciate my faithful volunteers who will tread through ice and snow, rain or shine, mud slicks and slush to care for them.

We are seeking out people who would be willing to help foster babies if and when they come in this spring.  It is about a 2month commitment of caring for and loving on little ones that need human attention to grow healthy and strong.  If you are willing to do this for us, please contact me through the website.

We have had a few struggles over the winter, many happy adoptions, and have worked hard to make our facilities a little more cat and people friendly.  Painting needs to take place this spring to brighten up our areas.  If you would be willing to come paint, inside or outside, please contact me through the website as well.

SART appreciates the donations that have been coming in from those of you that appreciate the mission that we have.  Those dollars go straight to the medical care, spaying and neutering, and inoculations of the animals.  Since there are always more needing care, your donations are so welcome.  Every little bit helps, and if we all pitch in a huge difference can be made.

We have gotten over 400 kitties and babies off the streets of St. Marys and surrounding communities over the past few years – we have tried to educate the importance of getting your pets spayed or neutered so that unwanted babies are not born, and we have tried to educate people of the rewards of having a loving pet in their homes.

Busy as we are, if you have a question or need some guidance with your pets or a situation with animals, please contact us through the website.  We will try to help.
